CONVERGENCE Committees
The Convergence conference is supported by a network of scholars and professionals committed to the advancement of architectural discourse and education. The structure of the event is shaped by three key bodies: Scientific Committee, Organising Committee, Reviewers.
The conference is committed to transparency and rigour. Full papers and detailed review forms are stored in the Editorial Secretariat as part of the official record of the peer-review process. While not circulated publicly, they are available to the Scientific Committee upon request, in line with international practice. Authors receive the reviewers’ comments together with the editorial decision, ensuring clarity and constructive guidance.
The Scientific Committee ensures the academic integrity of the CONVERGENCE 2025 International Conference. It validates the peer-review process and the final editorial decisions, guaranteeing that the proceedings meet high international academic standards.

The peer-review process is carried out by a panel of experts affiliated with all five faculties of architecture in Romania, as well as international reviewers. Their role is to evaluate the scientific merit and originality of submitted papers, in line with best practices in academic publishing.
All submissions to CONVERGENCE 2025 underwent a double-blind peer-review process. Each paper was evaluated by two independent reviewers, affiliated with different universities and distinct from the authors’ institutions. The pool of reviewers covered all faculties of architecture in Romania, ensuring broad expertise and impartiality.
Reviewers provided both a recommendation (Accept, Minor Revisions, Major Revisions, or Reject) and a written justification. The final editorial decision was made according to the following principles:
- Accept + Accept = Accept
- Minor + Minor = Minor Revisions
- Accept + Minor / Accept + Major = Minor Revisions
- Minor + Major = Major Revisions
- Major + Major = Major Revisions
- Reject + Reject = Reject
This procedure ensures consistency, fairness, and alignment with international academic standards.
